Singleton shopfront opens

Coal & Allied has opened a shopfront in the main street of Singleton, to help provide direct face-to-face consultation with the community.

It follows the successful operation of a Coal & Allied shopfront which opened in Muswellbrook last year and is home to the team working on the Mount Pleasant Project.

The Singleton shopfront will form part of Coal & Allied's plans to start a comprehensive community consultation process with Hunter Valley residents about its proposed future growth plans.

The company will soon write to residents to inform them of the Singleton shopfront, as well as a new freecall telephone number for enquiries.

Coal & Allied general manager studies, Antony Bijok, said the company will seek to encourage community engagement.

"Coal & Allied wants to share information about our proposed plans," Antony said.

"Community engagement is vital in helping us provide sustainable outcomes for the local community and the region as a whole."

Antony said Coal & Allied is committed to providing regular community updates about any future proposed growth activities and options, to understand potential impacts and consult on how to avoid or mitigate them.
