Home -Snapshot MM - Basil and tomatoes help manage dam water 1148

A project to improve the quailty of dam water at Kestrel Mine has had an unusual offshoot - a crop of basil and tomato plants.
The plants are being grown in the dam in a system of floating units called "Aquaponics", helping to keep harmful blue-green bacteria at bay.
